Art, comics, graphic design and web development by the artist: Matthew Taylor
Flash is a brilliant program for creating fluid vector animation. Because vectors are used instead of raster images the file size of a finished flash animation can be very small indeed; this is great for publishing on the web.
I have played with flash on and off for a long time and I'm amazed just how much you can do with just a few simple carefully considered shapes. I especially like the transparency effects you can achieve with the alpha channels.
But flash can do so much more then animation. Using some of the more advanced features I have made a few simple flash games too.

'Color is crucial in painting, but it is very hard to talk about. There is almost nothing you can say that holds up as a generalization, because it depends on too many factors: size, modulation, the rest of the field, a certain consistency that color has with forms, and the statement you're trying to make.' - Roy Lichtenstein
